Namibia

The sandy soils of the Kalahari desert and long dry winters make a consistent source of water to establish plants hard to come by.  Our greatest success so far has been using water from bathing to support a food system with bananas, sweet potatoes,  sugar cane, strawberries, mulberries, bush beans, nasturtium, grapes, borage, and lemongrass.
